Because when we belong and are valued, we can reach our highest potential.   Grounded in Tradition By design, the School has thoughtfully preserved myriad traditions that have drawn students together in a shared sense of camaraderie throughout the years.  Hallmark events in each grade serve as milestones for families to come together to mark and celebrate childhood. From iconic building exteriors to the thrilling "Ruecker Relay" race that marks the end of Blue-Gold Day, a Green Vale education is replete with connections to the generations that have preceded ours. While instilling School spirit, these traditions also serve the important function of FUN. Lifelong Friendships Green Vale produces lasting friendships among students and families alike, making it a bonding force in their lives, long after graduation. The tradition of ending the school day at 12:25 on Fridays allows for a natural time for playdates, birthday parties, and other gatherings outside of school without conflicting with families' weekend activities. Learn More A Daily Practice Programming at Green Vale is designed to foster community in various ways. Students come together with their division weekly (Lower School and Middle School) for assemblies consisting of student skits, announcements, outside speakers and performers, topical films and more.
